Looking to sell with us this season? Before you come in, make sure to keep the styles, colors and trends in mind that we look for so that you can make the best out of your trip.
If you’re unsure as to what to bring in, don’t worry—we’ve got you covered in that department. Below is a complete selling guide of the items we’re currently keeping an eye out for, and some guidelines on how we buy and price this season’s hottest trends.
Tops and Blouses
As the weather heats up, we’re longing for breezy, flouncy tops that let our skin breathe during those scorching days outside. For this weather, loose off the shoulder and short puff sleeve tops do the trick. Wrap tops with a modern flare tie-waist and/or crop length also look effortless while still seemingly put together. And, when the weather becomes unbearably hot, always go with a silk slip top and a pair of good vintage Levi’s cutoffs.
Shorts and Mini Skirts
Is there really anything better than your favorite pair of Levi’s denim cutoff shorts? Probably not. These are must-have in any wardrobe, and exactly what we’re looking for this season. Speaking of denim—A-line and button up denim skirts are the perfect summer staples. We’re also avid lovers of skorts circa our elementary school days and flouncy print skirts.
Jumpsuits and Rompers
Rompers and jumpsuits are the easiest way to look put together in less than a minute. We’ve got our eyes on classic denim overalls, wide leg, relaxed jumpsuits and short rompers with feminine details.
Dresses, vintage and new alike are a perfect way to get through the heat without much effort. Off-the-shoulder dresses, 90s print mini and maxi dresses and linen fabrics are a surefire way to stay cool in high temps. Silk slips and wrap dresses are a no-brainer, too.
We need your mom jeans. Seriously. This is one of our best selling styles—preferably vintage Levi’s and those with raw hems. Wide leg jeans and pants are also at the top of trends this summer, and are pretty comfy, too. And, as always, we love a good, medium to dark wash skinny jean.
When it comes to t-shirts, it’s all about the graphic for us. We love vintage tees—AKA the ones from your dad’s closet—and those with simplistic details that add the perfect touch of chicness. Current trending brands, such as Calvin Klein and Adidas are sporty yet cool enough to wear with a pair of jeans.
Handbags & Purses
Wicker bags and baskets are the latest in handbag trends, and they’re here to stay for the rest of the season, if not year. We’re on the lookout for market-shopping wicker bags, mini leather backpacks, crossbodys and of course, a little bit of fringe.
If you’re anything like us, you love the 90s and its affinity for mules and strappy sandals. We’re currently on the lookout for similar styles, including ballet pumps, and summer favorites like espadrilles, slides and huaraches. Sneakers, kept in good condition, are always a good choice, too.
While we’re currently on the lookout for these items this season, we still price according to condition and brands. Here are a few of our faves: Levis, American Apparel, Zara, Topshop, Topman, All Saints, Nike, Adidas, Urban, Free People, Asos, Doc Martens, Jeffrey Campbell, Brixton, Huf, Calvin Klein, Nasty Gal, Brandy Melville, Anthropologie, Marc Jacobs, Herschel, J Crew.
If you’ve ever stepped inside one of our stores, you know that we buy and sell vintage. If you’re a vintage denim, t-shirt or leather jacket connoisseur, then consider yourself ready to sell with us. Our year-round times are those that we take all year, regardless of the season, and include: denim jackets, hats, Dr. Martens, vintage Levi’s and leather jackets.
Note: While we love vintage, we are selective in what we take. Vintage items must be in style or able to be paired with currently trending items.
Fabric is important. If it’s stiff, uncomfortable or too worn, we can’t take it. Vintage items usually vary in size from current clothing measurements, so we have to take into consideration how these cuts will fit and look on.
And there you have it—a complete guideline on what to bring in our stores for this summer. If by chance you have any further questions, feel free to reach out to us via email at email@example.com or give our stores a call.
