Basic Selling Guidelines for Fall/Winter 2016:

Sweaters: Neutral & classic colors, (brighter colors and patterns are harder for us to sell), cable knits, thicker knits, turtle neck and mock neck styles, brands listed above are always a plus. Since we are pretty stocked on sweaters, we avoid brands like Target, Forever 21 & H&M, unless they show no signs of wear and are really in style.

Jeans: Our best sellers are solids washes, classic colors, mid-high rise, skinny, cut-off, boyfriend/mom, straight-leg, and bells. Tougher sells for us include funky colors, bejeweled butts, bright stitching and low-rise. Exception: we love tasteful embroidery! Overall, we love simple looks that can go with any style.

Vintage: While we love vintage, we are selective in what we take. Vintage items must be in style or able to be paired with currently trending items. Selling well for us are the vintage ringer tees, bomber jackets, crew-neck sweatshirts, tasteful floral and psychedelic patterns, bell-bottoms, bags, leather, fringe, suede. Fabric is important. If it’s stiff, uncomfortable or too worn, we can’t take it. Vintage items usually vary in size from current clothing measurements, so we have to take into consideration how these cuts will fit and look on.

Sportswear: For the most part we don’t buy sportswear, but since certain brands are trending, we selectively buy certain styles that can be worn as everyday fashion pieces. We try to stick with neutral colors like black, grey, and white, and stay away from bright colors and patterns. A few trending brands we usually buy in include Nike, Adidas, Lulu Lemon, and New Balance. We selectively buy trends that are in stores at the moment and current within the last year.

Cardigans: Condition is key: snags and stretched out material don't sell. We prefer lightly worn, well taken care of cardigans. Longer and thicker, more substantial fabrics do better for us.  For example: ponchos, & long, simple sweaters with no excessive embellishments.
